Researcher biography
Ray has over 8 years of experience at two of Australia’s top materials engineering consultancies, UQMP and GHD. After attaining his PhD from the University of Queensland in 2011, Ray began working for GHD’s Materials Technology and Asset Management Group where he gained experience in condition assessment, remediation design and durability planning. In 2014, Ray became a member of UQ Materials Performance where he expanded his skills in the areas of mechanical failure analysis, corrosion investigations, materials characterisation and testing, coatings and plastics failures and product life-cycle analysis. Ray is a versatile materials engineer that has conducted a wide-range of small to large projects, site inspections and expert witness assignments both a team-environment as well as independently.
